Rex is a big, goofy sweetheart who loves playing tug-of-war, learning new things, and lounging on laps. At just 8 months old, this German Shepherd and Doberman mix is a bundle of joy with a penchant for napping. He has a medium energy level, so it doesn’t take much to tire him out. While Rex is friendly with people he knows, he tends to be cautious around newcomers and will bark when meeting someone for the first time. Currently, he is working on his reactions to other dogs during walks and thrives with consistent training to build his confidence. Rex has never interacted with other dogs directly and tends to react strongly to them, as well as to smaller animals like squirrels. He needs a strong handler who is committed to his training journey. Rex is house trained and has learned some commands, which has positively influenced his behavior after reactive episodes.
