About Wendy
Wendy is currently living in a foster home and is eagerly awaiting a loving family. She’s a little over 2 years old and weighs around 22 pounds. Having been rescued from a puppy mill, Wendy is learning that life outside of a kennel can be enjoyable but still finds it overwhelming at times. She is a shy girl who needs a quiet home with patience and understanding, especially as she acclimates to new surroundings. Wendy is best suited for a family with children aged 6 and older, as quick movements can startle her. It's important that she goes to a home with another dog, as having a canine companion helps boost her confidence. She enjoys the company of other dogs but prefers to observe rather than actively play. A secure, fenced yard is essential, since she isn't quite leash trained yet. Wendy is starting to embrace the joys of exploring a home, learning about potty training, and discovering the fun of toys. She’s also making strides in her leash walking, showing improvement day by day. This will take time, so a patient and gentle approach is crucial. She's ready to take a chance on a better life.
