Meet Teddy, a charming five-year-old Golden Retriever who lives for the game of fetch. He adores tennis balls and is always ready for a good round of playtime. Teddy’s enthusiasm might even lead him to inadvertently bump into you while racing to grab the ball rolling your way! Teddy is a gentle soul who thrives on companionship, especially with families and children. He loves spending quality time with people and is affectionate and calm, making him a joy to have around. Whether it’s playing, getting head scratches, or belly rubs, he’s happiest when surrounded by his loved ones. This well-behaved boy is not just house-trained and leash-trained but also enjoys car rides and knows his basic commands. He has moderate energy, making him up for some fun adventures while also being content to relax in the evening. He plays nicely with other dogs, particularly those who are calm. However, he hasn’t encountered cats yet, so it’s uncertain how he would react. Currently, Teddy is recovering from heartworm disease, and while RSR covers his treatment, activity must be limited during his recovery. Teddy is arriving from Texas on 8/7/2026 and will need to be picked up at the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN, between 9 am and noon.
