About Trout
Trout is a shining example of how a good dog can come into your life unexpectedly. This striking young retriever mix has charmed everyone since arriving as a stray in mid-July. At about two years old, he’s sweet, playful, and surprisingly refined for a street dog. Fully house trained and polite on a leash, Trout greets each person like an old friend. He's great with other dogs and gentle with kids, making him a perfect addition to a lively family. With the eager-to-please attitude typical of retrievers, Trout balances playful energy with a calm side that enjoys curling up at your feet after a day of adventures. He hasn’t been tested with cats yet. While he’s not neutered, the shelter will coordinate that as part of the adoption process. This handsome fellow is looking for a home where he can be a hiking buddy, backyard playmate, or cozy companion. To meet Trout, please schedule an appointment, as this helps ensure someone is available to spend time with you. The shelter is open Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 3 PM, with possible appointments outside those hours based on volunteer availability.
