Jiffy is a special dog in search of a loving foster-to-adopt home. At just one year old, this gentle soul weighs about 27 pounds and has been on quite the journey to find safety. Rescued from DACC two months ago, she arrived terrified and underweight, weighing only 18 pounds with pressure sores. While we can only speculate about her past, it's clear she may have spent a lot of time confined. A secure crate remains her safe haven, especially when the world becomes overwhelming. Jiffy doesn’t rush to greet new people. Instead, she needs plenty of time to decompress, adjusting to her new surroundings at her own pace. But beneath her anxiety is a sweet nature; she has never shown aggression and only vocalizes when it's mealtime. Jiffy has specific needs for her ideal home: a securely fenced yard, at least one medium-to-large, confident dog, and a calm household. Patience is crucial, as building trust may take months. Interestingly, she seems to bond more with men versus women but thrives around confident dogs. Jiffy is house trained, spayed, vaccinated, and even microchipped. She interacts with cats and seems unfazed by poultry, showing she is capable of learning play with balls and chews. Yet, TV still surprises her.
