Meet Elena, a gentle soul ready for her happy ending. At around four years old, she's been through more than most dogs ever should, yet she now has the chance to discover what true love feels like. For much of her life, Elena was tied to a tree. When she had her eight puppies, that’s when rescue stepped in, changing their lives forever. As her puppies grow into wonderful families, it’s finally her turn to shine. Elena is currently learning how to live in a home, so she’ll do best with a patient family willing to help her build confidence and house manners. Every day is a new adventure for her, and she can’t wait to embrace family life. She has successfully lived with a 2-year-old toddler, adult cats, and dogs of all sizes, so she’s plenty friendly. However, homes with chickens or kittens might not be ideal, as they’re a bit too tempting for her. She loves toys and instantly lights up when you throw one. Don’t be surprised if you catch her climbing into a pool or a kiddie pool; that’s just her way of cooling off and relaxing.
