Scout thrives on being with his human companions, often sitting at their feet and gazing up with complete adoration. He is a low-energy dog, preferring the simple joy of being by your side. Walking on a leash and riding in the car are two activities he enjoys, although he may need a lift to get in the car. He is crate trained and mostly house trained, though he is still figuring out the best practices for marking indoors. While he has a gentle demeanor with cats and can live with them after a proper introduction, Scout prefers to be the only dog in his home, as he values his personal space. He is not aggressive and displays calm behavior around other dogs, but he benefits from a dog-free environment.
