About King Lu
Meet King Lu! This 11-year-old mixed breed gent weighs about 50 lbs and has had a tough past. While he can be timid, especially around new sounds and fast movements, he remains incredibly gentle, even when nervous. Once he feels secure, he enjoys slow, sniffy walks, preferring quieter spaces where he can relax. Since arriving at the shelter, King Lu has made great strides. Initially wary of affection, he now seeks treats and chin scratches on his own terms. He walks nicely on the leash with just a bit of mild pulling and has a charming habit of taking little laps and circles as he explores his surroundings. He shows interest in making canine friends, feeling more confident when around other dogs. King Lu needs a patient home that gives him the time and space to trust again. He's not an attention-seeker right away; instead, he quietly stays close once he learns to trust you. If you have a resident dog, we encourage a meet-and-greet to ensure they get along. To meet or adopt King Lu, you can visit us in Greensboro, NC from 12-4 pm any day except Tuesdays; no appointment is needed. Click apply to start the adoption process.
