About Chubby
Meet Chubby, the sweetest 8.5-month-old English Bulldog! He’s finally adoption ready but needs the right family to provide him the care he requires. Chubby has bilateral front leg deformities but manages quite well despite them. Surgery isn’t an option for correction, so potential adopters will need to take him to an approved vet once he turns one for neuter and cherry eye surgery, both covered by Big Bones. While he gets around well, Chubby should avoid stairs whenever possible. He can manage them, but it's important for the long-term health of his joints. If your home has many stairs, be ready to carry this little guy, as he weighs about 20 lbs and won’t grow much larger. A yard with grass is ideal to protect his legs, which can be prone to wounds from dragging. Additionally, he’ll require elevated bowls and possibly a slow feeder due to his GERD. Chubby could thrive in a home with young kids, provided they understand his needs and can handle him gently as he can jump unexpectedly when excited. He genuinely loves attention and affection from both people and pets. Chubby deserves to be treated like family, not just a pet. If you believe you can offer him a loving home, apply to meet him!
