Just days before her scheduled euthanasia, a compassionate city employee rescued her from a shelter in Idaho, and now she’s in a safe, loving environment, waiting for her forever home. Akira is friendly with people and has interacted well with older teens, though her exposure to young children is limited. Her unique mix makes her loyal, intelligent, and independent. Given her traits, she will thrive with someone who understands large breeds and can provide the structure she needs. Ideally, she should be the only dog initially, slowly working towards companionship as she builds confidence in her new home. Akira does best with dogs her size or larger and may chase cats. This smart and loyal girl has a sweet disposition, making her the perfect companion for someone looking for a strong bond with their dog.
