About Sully
Meet Sully! At just 13 weeks old, Sully is a vibrant little kitten bursting with personality. This playful tabby is endlessly curious and adores being around people. If you're seeking a companion who will share in all your activities, Sully is the perfect fit. He loves to romp around and play, but he also knows when it's time to curl up for some much-needed cuddles. Sully's health has a bit of a twist; he recently tested positive for feline leukemia virus (FeLV). However, because he’s still young, there’s a possibility that this result is due to maternal antibodies from his mother. Kittens often have a chance to test negative again as they grow older. We won’t know for sure until he’s ready for follow-up testing in a few months. Having an FeLV-positive kitten might raise questions. Remember, FeLV only affects cats and cannot be transmitted to people or dogs. It’s best for FeLV-positive cats like Sully to either be the only cat or live with other FeLV-positive cats to prevent spreading the virus. Life expectancy for FeLV-positive cats can vary greatly; some thrive for many years with proper care, while others may have shorter lives. Sully deserves a loving home where he can enjoy being a kitten, regardless of how many years he has. If his future testing shows that he is negative, he’ll continue to thrive like any other healthy kitten. If positive, he’ll still be the same affectionate and lively little boy who wants to be your best friend. Come meet Sully at our Millington, TN Rescue Center from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You’ll quickly see why he's so special. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
