About Davis
Meet Davis. Davis is one of three dogs rescued from a backyard breeding situation, where conditions were grim and he had little human interaction for far too long. He came to us with painful glaucoma in one eye, which required surgical removal, and a missing part of his lower lip from a prior injury. After receiving the veterinary care he needed, including neutering and a dental cleaning, he's looking much healthier and feeling great. Initially, Davis was understandably anxious; he would pace and struggle to relax, exhibiting distrust toward people. However, he has formed a bond with his foster dad and is beginning to trust others. He’s learning to walk on a leash and has adjusted well to foster life with three other small dogs and his caring foster parents. Crate trained, leash trained, and house trained, Davis thrives on a consistent routine, showing he can keep his space clean. As he adjusts to new environments, he will benefit from a structured introduction to his forever home. Despite a rough start, Davis is proving to be a resilient and sweet little guy. He enjoys affection, loves being petted, and is discovering the joys of home life. His confidence continues to grow, and he’s ready for a patient adopter who can help him further.
