About Daffodil
Senior Daffodil has been with us for a couple of months and is eager to find her forever home. She’s a sweet yet quirky girl, sometimes head-shy but over time, she warms up. Once comfortable, she’s lovable and cuddly, especially when food is involved; those big sad brown eyes really know how to charm. Daffodil does have some medical issues, including heart disease, suspicious liver and pancreatic lesions, and suspected diabetes insipidus, which causes her to drink excessively. At about 12 years old, she aims for comfort and companionship over quantity of years. She takes her medication easily, including pills in her food and twice-daily injections to help manage her condition. Daffodil generally gets along well with other dogs, displaying a bossy terrier personality. She prefers companions closer to her size rather than tiny dogs. Weighing around 25 lbs, she appears to be a scruffy terrier mix with a low-maintenance coat that doesn’t require much grooming, although it does shed. We wish for Daffodil to enjoy her time as a cherished family member, whether that’s a few months or years. If you’re interested in meeting her in Northern NJ, please reach out via email. This could be the start of something paw-some.
