About Sarge
Meet Sarge! Currently receiving heartworm treatment in a foster home, Sarge is a playful and spunky guy who gives the best hugs. He came to us as an owner surrender and has spent his life behind a four-foot fence. This New Year, his resolution is clear: find a home where he can finally settle down. No more nights spent outside; just a couch to nap on and a family to call his own. Sarge exudes love and joy, greeting each day like it’s the best day ever. He's loyal, sweet, and ready to give a lifetime of affection to the right adopter. Despite his past, his heart remains open. He enjoys gentle outdoor adventures, including a recent day at the beach where he showed off his playful side. While he can bark at other dogs, he is a fast learner and just needs a bit of training to help him adjust. He has tested positive for heartworm, but don’t worry! The Humane Society of Hobart will cover his treatment costs. Sarge deserves a calm home where he can heal and thrive. With his strong will, he has the potential to be someone’s dream companion. Sarge is a male, large mixed breed and is already neutered. He’s waiting for a chance to become your loving friend. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
