About Afro
Afro is a goofy and playful dog who has spent his life outdoors. Estimated to be around 8 years old, this big boy weighs approximately 90 lbs and dreams of being a lap dog. He enjoys chasing balls, although he might not always bring them back—he prefers to roll over on them instead. Recently, one of our volunteers took him home during some severe weather, and Afro impressively did not have any accidents inside. While he generally ignores other dogs, we recommend a low-energy female companion if you already have one. However, Afro does chase cats, so no felines for this sweet pup. Given his size, we suggest a home without kids under the teen years. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and will be bathed and cleaned before going to his new home. Afro’s previous family is moving to an apartment and facing medical issues, so he needs a new home immediately. Plus, he is also available as a foster or through a foster-to-adopt program.
