Meet Lanier the Cavalier! If you’ve been dreaming of a sweet, happy companion, Lanier might be the perfect fit. This handsome Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is about 3 years old and weighs 24 pounds. He is fully vetted, which means he's up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested negative, neutered, microchipped, wormed, and on preventative care for heartworm and fleas. Lanier's journey hasn't been easy. Found as a stray, he waited at a local shelter without anyone coming to claim him. Fortunately, his luck changed for the better, and after being treated for a double ear infection and getting a grooming makeover, he’s now the charming dog you see today. Currently living in a foster home, Lanier gets along wonderfully with children and another dog. He’s kennel trained, sleeps soundly through the night, walks well on a leash, and rides great in the car. He hasn’t had any potty accidents since arriving at his foster home. It's important to know that Lanier is a speedy little runner, so a securely fenced yard is essential for him to frolic and play. Unfortunately, apartment living wouldn’t be ideal for his energy level. Above all, Lanier’s sweet personality shines through. His foster mom affectionately calls him "the bestest boy!"
