About Monica
Meet Monica. At around six years old, Monica's journey has been far from easy, and we hope her future is brighter. Rescued from a severe hoarding situation, she never truly experienced life as a dog should. Instead, she spent her days confined and in survival mode, devoid of love and comfort. Now, she is slowly discovering what safety, space, and affection mean. Monica needs an exceptionally patient adopter who can provide the time and understanding she requires to trust. She's still learning that the world can be kind, and her process may take time. She won’t settle in overnight, but the rewarding journey of helping her heal will be meaningful for someone special. As a flight risk, Monica must have a secure yard for her safety. Ideally, she should be the only dog in the home to help her relax and build confidence without feeling pressured. Monica is also heartworm positive, but her treatment costs will be fully covered by us. She deserves a calm home where she can finally thrive and be cherished. If you have a safe space and compassion to give to a deserving dog, Monica could be the companion you never knew you needed. Click apply to start the adoption process.
