About Hot Honey
Hot Honey is a gentle soul waiting for her forever home in Wheeling, IL. This lovely three-year-old brindle hound mix traveled all the way from Kentucky after her family sadly surrendered her. She currently weighs 37 pounds and is on a journey to regain some healthy weight, but behind that petite frame lies an incredibly sweet and demure character. Unlike some dogs who are eager for attention, Hot Honey quietly observes her surroundings with soulful eyes, making it hard not to fall in love. In playgroups, she gracefully coexists with other dogs, showing her polite and easygoing nature. Though Hot Honey has faced the heartbreak of losing her home, she is ready to find a new family who will cherish her. She is already spayed and up to date on core vaccinations. Unfortunately, she tested positive for heartworm disease but is receiving treatment, which is both preventable and curable. Heartworm is not contagious to other pets or people, and once treated, she can expect a normal quality of life. If youโre seeking a loving companion who asks for little yet gives so much, Hot Honey is the one for you. Her adoption fee is $300, and we look forward to sharing this next chapter with her. Your new best friend is just one click away.
