About Susan

Susan is a spunky 12-week-old puppy weighing in at about 10 lbs (as of 7/22). She’s a lively mix of Terrier and Border Collie and is expected to grow into a medium-sized dog, around 35 lbs full grown. Currently in a foster home, she’s eligible for a foster-to-adopt program, making it easy for interested adopters to bring her home while having the chance to adjust together. This little one is looking for an intermediate adopter who has experience with similar breeds. As she matures, Susan will thrive on structure, daily exercise, and consistent training—about 90 minutes of physical activity each morning and regular brain games throughout the day will keep her happy and engaged. Given her activity level, an adopter with an active lifestyle is essential. Susan is very social and loves interacting with dogs and cats, learning healthy play styles from her humans. However, she can be a bit mouthy, which is typical for puppies, so adopting a child-free home or one with kids over 8 will help avoid accidental bumps. She's currently working on her potty training and is using wee pads effectively, but she's learning about outdoor bathroom breaks as well. Embrace the joy and challenges that come with raising a puppy, and remember, consistent training from the start is crucial. Ready to make Susan part of your family? Apply today!
