Meet Canela! Canela is a six-year-old Pit Bull mix with a heart full of love. This affectionate girl embodies everything you could desire in a companion. Having spent years as a cherished house dog, she’s fully house-trained and adapts effortlessly to home life. While she has an athletic appearance, don’t be deceived—Canela enjoys being a couch potato! She would much prefer to spend her day lounging beside her people rather than running marathons. Canela is well-versed in basic commands such as come, sit, down, stay, and heel. She has joined us on many outings and consistently demonstrates her good behavior. She’s attentive and eager to please, with a strong motivation for treats, making her an ideal candidate for continued training and adventures with her future family. After being surrendered due to conflicts with another dog, Canela surprised us with her calm and easygoing demeanor. Despite her history, she has shown little concern around other dogs, making her a delightful companion. We believe she will thrive as the only dog in her future home or with an experienced adopter who can provide gradual introductions if there are other dogs. Canela is yearning for a peaceful, loving environment where she can comfortably settle into family life.
