About Sugar
Sugar is a devoted, gentle Pekingese who truly lives up to her sweet name. At 14 pounds and 9 years old, she embodies calm and grace, happiest when she's snuggled by her person's side. Since arriving at her foster home, she's adapted beautifully, proving to be a loving companion. She recently had a spa day, getting groomed and looking absolutely beautiful. Fully house-trained, Sugar communicates well when it's time to go outside. She thrives in a relaxed setting without a crate, especially when someone is home most of the time. Sugar loves her walks and can easily handle a couple of miles, often confidently leading the way. At home, she prefers to keep her person company, gazing at them with big, expressive eyes, especially when treats are involved. Belly rubs and ear scratches are her favorite, though sheโs not much into toys. Sugar enjoys meeting other dogs and would love to be part of a pack, though she might put on a tough act initially. With a bit of a watchdog streak, she'll bark to alert you when sheโs on duty, especially when venturing outside. She doesnโt have experience with cats or young children, so thoughtful introductions will be important. If youโre looking for a loyal friend to stroll by your side and keep you company, Sugar is your perfect match. She's ready to become your sweetest shadow and best companion. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
