About Tamale

Meet Tamale, a resilient 5-month-old tripod kitten who is discovering just how good indoor life can be. Tamale was born outdoors without human contact and found herself in a tough spot, getting stuck in a fence. After a leg amputation, she recovered in a loving foster home where she learned that people can be safe, gentle, and excellent at giving head rubs. Sheโ€™s made amazing progress! Initially, she likes to observe before joining in, but once she feels comfortable, she relaxes into affection and begins to purr. You might even catch her sleeping belly-up, enjoying the peaceful company around her, while gaining confidence each day. Tamale loves to learn from the friendly cats in her foster home, though having another cat isnโ€™t a must in her future family. Sheโ€™s looking for a quiet, patient home that will allow her to blossom at her own pace. It may take her a little while to trust, but each step toward her confidence is a milestone that will make your bond truly special. Tamale is currently in a foster home. If you're interested in meeting her, please submit an adoption application to arrange a meet-and-greet!
