Meet Indy! This sweet girl was rescued from a local county shelter just before Independence Day, and she’s been stealing hearts ever since. Indy is an approximately 5-year-old, extra-large dilute chocolate Labrador Retriever weighing about 95 pounds. She is currently working hard on her weight-loss journey and has already made notable progress. Indy is facing a temporary challenge with Heartworm disease, but she’s brave and has completed the Doxycycline portion of her treatment. Next week, she'll begin the next phase and will need to take it easy while she recovers. Soon, we hope to see her back outside, running and playing like the joyous dog she is. With an amazing personality, Indy is dog-friendly and the life of the party with people of all ages, including children. She loves the water and has shown off her skills with dock diving! Despite a calm demeanor, she enjoys her spirited zoomies now and then. We're eager to find the perfect family to welcome Indy once she finishes her Heartworm treatment so they can cheer her on at the finish line! Indy is already spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccinations. She’s ready for her forever home in mid to late August at Camp FSDA in Parrish, FL.
