Meet Meatloaf, a delightful 6-year-old spayed female Domestic Shorthair weighing in at 18 lbs. This big girl is naturally shy around strangers, but with a little patience, she’ll claim her spot on your lap and in your heart. She has some extra fluff to love, and while her vet says she’s in good health, a little weight loss would do her good. Meatloaf has a fondness for canned food and will happily indulge if you let her. Her past has been tough. Meatloaf came to us from a previous place where she was kept in a small dog crate for years. Limited space meant she missed out on many cat comforts—no toys, no soft blankets, just metal and plastic. Thanks to her time here, she’s relearning what it means to be a cat, enjoying the occasional play session and lounging atop laundry piles for comfort. We’ve noticed she’s particularly fond of snoozing next to her best friend Goldy, another shy tabby girl, and they would make a great duo for anyone looking to adopt. Meatloaf gets along with other cats and can handle calm small dogs, but the hustle and bustle of children might be too much for her. With her love of coziness and high comfort needs, she’s ready for a loving home that understands her gentle nature. If you’d like to meet Meatloaf, please reach out to us!
