Meet Rick, an affectionate young mixed-breed puppy with a heart as big as his smile. Rescued after being abandoned at just 2 months old, Rick has spent the last four months thriving in a loving foster home. He’s one of the sweetest and happiest dogs you’ll ever meet. Ricks favorite spot is right next to you, whether he's resting his head on your lap or following you around the house. His charming black snout and floppy ear make him unforgettable, but it's his loving personality that truly captures hearts. Rick is incredibly gentle and friendly, not just with his foster family but also with strangers and visitors. He adores children, from toddlers to babies, and interacts wonderfully with both large and small dogs. Smart and curious, Rick is eager to please without being hyper. He's playful yet loves cuddling and showering you with kisses after a fun day outdoors. He enjoys exploring the yard, playing with canine friends, and splashing around in water. After a day of fun, he’s happy to curl up beside his favorite people for a cozy nap. Crate trained and potty trained, Rick is also familiar with doggy doors, making him an excellent companion. Although he hasn't had much experience with leash walking, his intelligence and eagerness for training will help him thrive. Rick may occasionally be startled by loud noises but has grown more confident in handling everyday sounds. Currently fostered in Houston, TX, Rick is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He would do best in a home where he can be included in family activities and would love to share his life with another friendly dog, or be the cherished center of attention.
