Hamilton is in need of a loving home where he can adjust slowly and learn to trust. While he doesn't have a recorded weight or defined coloration, his long fur is sure to bring a lot of warmth to your life.
About Hamilton
Meet Hamilton! He was born outside and joined our Community Cats program due to limited human interaction. Hamilton needs a patient adopter who can help him transition into a home environment slowly. To ease his acclimation, it’s best to keep him confined to a small area or crate initially. This allows him to explore his new surroundings safely while feeling secure. Don't worry if you don’t have a crate; we can lend you one until he's more comfortable. During this time, you may observe some hiding behaviors and a potential backslide in confidence as he adjusts to the new sights and sounds. With patience, he will start to purr and may even enjoy your company. Working with Hamilton will be essential. It’s a good idea to pair petting with treats, such as wet food he enjoys. Doing so helps him learn that your hands are not something to fear. If you have a friendly cat at home, their presence can also help Hamilton settle in more comfortably. Hamilton is already neutered and up to date on vaccinations, including flea and tick preventative. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY, but please note that same-day adoptions are not possible due to state paperwork requirements.
