About Howlbert
Howlbert has recently joined our rescue, and he’s grateful to be alive after narrowly escaping euthanasia. His former owner brought him to a vet to be put down due to anxiety, but thankfully, Dr. J and the staff were able to convince them to surrender him instead. They recognized that Howlbert deserves a chance at life and held him overnight until we could bring him to a new, welcoming environment. At 8 years old, Howlbert is a neutered male Beagle. He has quickly settled into his new surroundings, showing no anxiety symptoms even after spending a night crated. He embodies the sweet and gentle nature we often see in older Beagles. His behavior around other dogs has been calm, and we anticipate he will pass any dog testing that comes his way. With a new identity, town, and diet/exercise plan, Howlbert is ready to move forward.
