About Athena HTX

Meet Athena! Athena is a two-year-old Great Pyrenees who embodies resilience and kindness. She once arrived at a home starved and tangled in burrs that matted her beautiful white coat. Thankfully, she was rescued by South Houston Animal Control, where her gentle spirit shone through despite her hardships. From day one, Athena showed she can handle anything with grace. She patiently accepted a thorough bath and grooming, wanting only some love in return. This sweetheart thrives on affection, walking gracefully on a leash and settling in smoothly with other dogs and even a cat in her foster home. At the moment, Athena is focused on regaining her strength and health. As she puts on weight and her coat grows back, her beauty will be striking. However, it's her sweet and trusting nature that truly makes her special. If you’re ready to welcome a loyal, gentle companion into your life, Athena is excited to start her new chapter with you.
