Meet Rosko, an affectionate and loyal 5-year-old male Husky/German Shepherd mix ready to find his forever home. Rosko came into our care after being surrendered by his owner, who could no longer provide the time he deserves. He’s fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered, weighing in around 75 pounds. Rosko is incredibly dog-friendly, enjoying playtime and happily mimicking the play styles of his furry friends. He has lived peacefully with a cat in the past, showing that he’s adaptable and respectful of their space. This gentle giant is also kid-friendly, currently living with both a 10-year-old and a 3-year-old and showing nothing but patience and affection. While he has moments of energetic play outdoors, Rosko is mostly relaxed indoors with occasional bursts of energy. He walks well on a leash, listening to commands to slow down and stay close. He is house-trained and crate-trained, and he does well when allowed to roam free at home. Rosko thrives in a low to moderate energy household but would benefit from more physical activity. He’s a smart boy who has learned many commands and performs charming tricks. If you’re looking for a playmate for Rosko, he would love a canine companion, but he’s also perfectly fine being the only dog.
