Meet Poppy, a delightful 2-3-year-old female Hound/Border Collie mix currently being cared for in a foster home out of state. Weighing in at around 35 pounds, she’s on her way to New England soon at no extra travel cost to you. Poppy was found as a stray in Tennessee, but she clearly deserves a loving home. Poppy has a gentle temperament, making her a fantastic fit for families—even those with children or other pets! She's a true sweetheart, known for curling up by your feet or enjoying head scratches. Living with a German Shepherd and two cats, she’s been great with everyone, though she’s still figuring out the feline members of her foster family. She even enjoys the company of a one-year-old baby, handling their noises with grace. Poppy is house trained and crate trained, sleeping well at night. She loves her leashed walks, where she explores her surroundings and occasionally gets a little excited by squirrels. She may be shy initially, but with patience, her charming personality shines through. Poppy is not a roughhouse player, so dog parks might be a wonderful way for her to learn. If you're considering adding a loving companion with a heart-shaped marking on her paw pad to your family, look no further! All dogs are spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccinations at the time of adoption. To adopt Poppy, please complete an adoption application.
