About Mary

Meet Mary! Mary is a unique blend of Bluetick Coonhound and Beagle, estimated to be around a year old. Weighing approximately 28 lbs, she carries a blend of black and white cream colors on her short coat. Having spent much of her life without proper handling and socialization, Mary can be anxious and fearful in unfamiliar situations. It's important to approach her with patience and a calm demeanor, as she may show signs of fear-based reactions when feeling overwhelmed. However, with a little time and kindness, her gentle and loyal nature will emerge, proving she just needs reassurance to thrive. She might do best in a home with older children aged 11 and up, and it’s recommended to have a meet and greet with any dogs in the home to ensure compatibility. Mary is not yet house trained, but she is ready to begin her journey toward learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. She’s awaiting the right adopter who can help her gain confidence.
