Mavis is likely a Schipp-A-Pom mix, reminiscent of the adorable Dottie Lopez Schipp-a-Pom. She’s a true velcro dog who loves to be close to her people. Some might find her trailing closely at their heels, nestling under their desk while they work, or finding the coziest lap for movie nights. If you stop moving, she’ll likely squeeze between your ankles, eager to stay nearby. With her silky-soft coat, Mavis makes an exceptional cuddle buddy during those chilly Colorado evenings. At just 11 pounds, she's the ideal size for any adventure, riding calmly in a crate while traveling and delighting in outdoor walks. Though she loves a securely fenced yard, she prefers to be by your side, often waiting at the door to return inside. Mavis is fantastic with people of all ages and gets along well with dogs. She’s shown curiosity toward cats, gently sniffing them without any sign of aggression. While she may chase a shy cat out of curiosity, she’s never mean. She’s making steady progress with house training, sleeping soundly through the night in her crate, and only having occasional daytime accidents. Mavis came to Colorado from a small shelter in Kansas, seeking the loving home she truly deserves. She is spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated.
