Meet Zara Zara is a 2-year-old Pit Bull mix who was surrendered due to a change in her owner's living situation. According to her previous owner, Zara has lived with other large dogs, has visited dog parks, and has been friendly with other dogs. She has not lived with cats or children. Staff describe Zara as a sweet, affectionate girl with lots of energy. She's easy to handle and enjoys spending time with people, but she's always ready for the next adventure. On walks, Zara is a very strong leash puller, so her future family should be prepared to continue working on leash manners using positive, consistent training. When meeting other dogs, Zara tends to come in full of excitement. Her intentions are friendly, but her enthusiasm can be overwhelming for some dogs. Because of her energetic play style, we recommend a meet and greet with any resident dogs to ensure they're a good match.
