Located in Groveland, MA, Flora is a loving companion ready to be the only pet in a quieter adult home. Although she has not been weighed recently, she is in good health aside from a few manageable issues. Flora is looking for a devoted owner who can give her the attention she craves.

Meet Flora! Flora is a charming Papillon born on March 10, 2021. After her family relocated overseas, she found her way to Sweet Paws Rescue. In her previous home, Flora was deeply loved, but she experienced challenges when a new baby arrived, particularly with sharing attention. An affectionate and playful dog, Flora adores her human companions. She enjoys squeaky toys, playing fetch, and curling up for belly rubs. She’s great on walks, loves to explore, and has excellent off-leash recall. Flora is friendly with both people and dogs she meets in her travels. However, she prefers to be the center of attention and has shown some resource guarding around food and toys. For this reason, she would thrive as the only pet in her home, where she can reign supreme. Flora would do best in a quiet adult home without children. She flourishes with companionship, so someone who is home most of the day or works from home would be ideal. Flora does become stressed when left alone for long periods. Recently, she underwent a veterinary workup due to elevated liver values. Fortunately, extensive testing ruled out any infectious disease, and she is currently on medication, which she takes well, along with having follow-up check-ups scheduled. Aside from occasional carsickness, she is doing well and ready to settle into her new home. Flora is a loyal companion looking for someone who will allow her to be the queen of the castle.
