About Brownie

Meet Brownie, a charming 2-year-old Miniature Poodle weighing in at 20 lbs. Currently residing in a foster home in Ansonia, CT, he was rescued from a Yonkers shelter where he narrowly escaped euthanasia. Brownie is neutered, vaccinated, and ready to find a patient and loving family. This smart and loyal boy forms deep bonds with his humans, but he may need a bit of time to trust. Brownie can be a little mouthy when he gets overstimulated, so consistent boundaries and a calm environment are essential. Once he feels secure, he adores being petted, holding hands, and snuggling next to you. Brownie thrives in a tranquil, adult-only household, and if he has a doggy companion, it should be a calm one that respects his space. His favorites include dog toys, chew bones, walks, rides in the car, and snuggling at bedtime. He is well-behaved, house trained, and does not require crating while you are away.
