About Mariah

Mariah is a shy, 3-year-old Tuxedo Domestic Longhair with striking green eyes. Weighing just over 6 pounds, she is spayed and has received full veterinary care, including vaccinations, deworming, and microchipping. Mariah's past has shaped her personality; she came into rescue after her owners moved and couldn't take her along. Having spent over a year in foster care, she’s learning to build trust. Mariah has not been around other cats and prefers her own space, often retreating to her room, even with the door open. She enjoys gentle pets on her terms and, although cautious, has made progress in enjoying human companionship. Mariah especially loves watching her foster family from the window and occasionally engages in play. With her long, thick fur that easily tangles, she tolerates brushing now, making upkeep manageable. She needs a patient owner who understands her requirements and will give her the time she needs to flourish. Ready for her forever home, Mariah would be happiest as the only kitty. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
