About Sledge
Meet Sledge, a one-year-old mixed breed dog weighing around 50 lbs. This lovable guy captures hearts wherever he goes. He enjoys walks, car rides, and can’t resist curling up on a dog bed. Sledge is a friendly pup, adoring men, women, and kids but tends to get skittish around loud trucks and cars. On a leash, he’s well-behaved but needs some tasty distractions to keep his attention. He’s eager to befriend every dog he encounters. With commands like ‘come’, ‘touch’, and ‘lay down’ under his belt, he’s working on mastering ‘sit’ at his own pace. Expect a cheerful bark if you step out of his sight, but he calm down quietly in a crate. Sledge has a playful side, showing the agility to leap over recyclables in his foster home, proving he might excel in dog sports as well. He’s on a special diet to work through some past food issues, which makes him very food-motivated. He adores children and is patient with their antics; however, given his size and energy, older kids would be preferable. Sledge's joyful personality lightens the room, and his affectionate nature makes him the perfect companion. If you’re looking for a happy, loving, and energetic dog, Sledge might just be your next best friend! Sledge is currently fostered in Cincinnati, OH. His adoption fee is $275.
