Weighing in at about 55 pounds, he’s house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. While he loves people, he might not be the best fit for homes with children as he tends to treat them like his equals. He has a high intelligence level and will thrive in a dog-savvy home that can guide him with a firm yet gentle hand. Ryder is great with most dogs, but he should ideally be in a cat-free home, as he does chase cats. A past grooming incident has left him fearful of being groomed, so he does well with a muzzle, which he accepts willingly. It would be best for him to find a family comfortable with grooming at home, though this is not mandatory. Ryder is a wonderful companion for those ready to provide him the right environment.
