Calm and kind-hearted, he thrives on routine, taking comfort in knowing what to expect each day. In his foster home, Copper gets along with everyone and is especially good with other dogs, showing a respectful demeanor and often waiting for them to initiate play. While he hasn't interacted with cats, a slow introduction would help ease any transitions. Due to some resource guarding with toys—which his foster is actively working on—an environment with older children or experienced dog owners would be ideal. Copper enjoys zoomies, playing with toys, and snuggling after car rides. He prefers a quiet atmosphere, disliking raised voices and nail trims. This well-mannered boy is crate trained, housebroken, and can comfortably be left for typical work hours without any issues. He knows commands like sit, come, down, shake, and leave it, and he responds incredibly well to positive reinforcement instruction. Copper is in great health, though he does have a sensitivity to beef, so he's currently thriving on a chicken-based diet. He’d love a home with a fenced yard, but could also adapt to an apartment, as long as he's treated to a quiet lifestyle. His forever home should be committed to helping him continue his progress with guarding, ideally with older children or an adult-only setting.
