Meet Griff, a 5-year-old neutered German Shepherd-Pit mix seeking a new home. Due to recent life changes, his current owners can no longer provide him with the attention he deserves. Griff is healthy and active, enjoying long walks, hikes, and cuddles on the sofa. Once abandoned at a construction site, he has shown resilience and loyalty. Despite being sweet and intelligent, Griff has some behavioral quirks rooted in his past trauma. He can be reactive to new people and dogs and needs a structured approach to feel safe when meeting others. He's crate-trained, great on a leash, and has successfully adapted to living with other dogs, although he cannot meet them off-leash suddenly. For Griff’s next home, an active environment with experienced adopters familiar with reactive dogs would be ideal. He is not suited for homes with children or cats, but his charm and energy can be a perfect match for the right person.
