About Lucy
Meet Lucy, a sweet and gentle 2-year-old Pit Bull Terrier from Albuquerque, NM. She’s the perfect size—not too big, not too small—and with her oversized ears, she could certainly pick up satellite signals! Lucy is shy but steadily opens up once she feels safe. She needs an adopter who understands that trust takes time, but her adorable personality really shines when she’s comfortable. Lucy loves dogs and has successfully previously lived with a blind and deaf dog, becoming the best of friends. She has met multiple dogs of various sizes and temperaments, always responding well. Although she can be sassy if approached too quickly by unfamiliar dogs, thoughtful introductions will help her flourish. She could thrive as an only dog or with a calm companion. Notably, Lucy is also cat-friendly, living harmoniously with her foster’s feline in addition to doing well with other cats she’s met. Around kids, she displays a neutral temperament, making space when necessary. Lucy is even nonchalant around backyard chickens. One of her best traits? She is a dream in her crate—quiet and well-behaved, making her ideal for apartment living. She’s a low-energy girl who can adapt to your desired lifestyle, whether that means a couch cuddle session or joining you on hikes. Potty trained and generally easy to lead, Lucy pulls a bit at first on the leash but overall is manageable. Honestly, you have to see her in person to appreciate how truly stunning she is. Lucy is ready for her forever home. Give her the chance she deserves! What are you waiting for? Apply today!
