About Jasper
Jasper is a 10-year-old, 93-pound blue-and-white Pit Bull Terrier looking for a loving home. He arrived at PACC in April after his owner moved out of state and surrendered him. While not much is known about his past, it's clear that Jasper is wary of strangers and may bark or attempt to bite when scared. His initial time in the shelter made him fearful and unsure, but he's worked hard to trust his caregivers. With patience, heβs started to enjoy walks and playgroups. However, Jasper has shown signs of stress from long-term kennel confinement. His behavior has become more reactive, especially around his kennel. He needs a strong, understanding adopter who can help him transition smoothly and provide a calm environment. Jasper is best suited for someone experienced, as he requires time to decompress and build trust over time. He has the capacity for loyalty and affection once he feels safe. This gentle soul deserves the chance to enjoy his golden years in a peaceful home where he is loved. If you're interested, please visit PACC by the end of business on Monday, July 20, 2026, to meet with a counselor and see if Jasper is the right fit for you. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
