About Amelia
Meet Amelia. This sweet girl weighs around 45 pounds and is estimated to be between five and seven years old. She’s a true people dog and adores every human she meets. Although she can bark when someone arrives at the door, she settles down quickly once you tell her to stop. While she's crate trained, Amelia has great behavior and can be trusted to roam freely; she enjoys lounging on the sofa or a comfy dog bed. Amelia tends to thrive with calm, larger dogs. She may feel threatened by smaller, barking dogs or those that act aggressively. The same goes for cats—she’s fine with serene felines who ignore her, but hissing or swatting from a cat will be seen as a challenge. Ideally, she would do best as the only dog or with very laid-back companions. This girl loves exploring and sniffing everything around her. She’s always happy in a yard and enjoys walks with plenty of sniffing opportunities. Indigo Rescue only adopts to homes within 30 miles of Beaverton, Oregon.
