Found at a local shelter in dire condition, he caught the heart of his foster, who welcomed him into her home. Now at a healthy 75 pounds, Rusty thrives on human companionship. No matter where you are in the house, he’s right by your side, offering warm cuddles and hearty sighs of contentment. He adores cuddling, and if you don’t leave room for him, prepare for some gentle reminders until you do. At about 3-4 years old, Rusty's relationship with food is complex, likely stemming from his past hardships. He’s discovered a unique water source—the toilet—and will happily drink from it if given the chance. His eagerness around food makes him your personal kitchen inspector, always ready to monitor your meals closely. Despite this, he's affectionate and enjoys curling up next to you after mealtimes. Rusty enjoys walks but needs a little help with leash manners. His strong, enthusiastic personality shines through when he’s around food.
