About Shaggy

Shaggy is a charming little 9-pound Chihuahua-Terrier mix who found his way to us from Laredo, Texas. Previously living in a backyard with several other dogs, he arrived covered in fleas and ticks, leaving him understandably wary of people. Initially hesitant and cautious, Shaggy soon revealed his sweet nature once he realized he was safe. He’s around three to four years old and it’s best if he goes to a home without small children. In a secure environment, he’ll have the space to build trust gradually. Shaggy is heartworm-negative and Chagas-negative, ready for a loving home where he can escape rescue life. What he desires most is a warm lap and a gentle, patient heart. If you believe you could provide a loving home for this little guy, please apply online to adopt Shaggy. Shaggy is currently located in Hondo, Texas. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
