About Maggie

Maggie is a charming Chihuahua, about 5-6 years old, who previously found her way into a loving home. Her last family adored her but faced a unique situation. Their elderly dog began to accidentally bump into her, startling Maggie and creating some tension at home. Rather than return her to the shelter, they sought our help to find her a new, safer home where she could thrive. Maggie has been well-loved and cared for, receiving all necessary medical attention, and she has some socialization under her belt. Typical for her breed, she thinks of herself as a "big dog". If there are other dogs in the home, she prefers to be fed separately and likes to take the lead. This little lady is great with people, including older kids, and enjoys her car rides, making her an ideal lap dog. Maggie loves her walks and is familiar with basic commands, including using a dog door. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and house trained. Adoption fee is $85, and applicants are pre-screened. Out-of-state adoptions are welcome, but we don't ship or transport pets without in-person meetings. Click apply to start the adoption process.
