Meet Caramel, a pup just as sweet as his name implies! At nearly 70 lbs., you might think this gentle giant is all rough and tumble, but he’s actually looking for a patient and loving home to help him gain confidence. Caramel came to us since he was too large and strong for his previous owners, and he’s still adjusting to life here at the shelter. Initially intimidated by people, he warms up quickly and becomes the most loyal companion if given a chance. He enjoys playing with polite dogs, so having a canine buddy in his new home could be a great fit. Although he once lived with cats, he liked to chase them, so small animals might not be ideal. Caramel is an absolute sweetheart, and whoever adds him to their family will be very lucky to have him around!
