About Mira

Mira found her way to safety after being picked up as a stray in the Central Valley. When she arrived at the shelter, she was emaciated and diabetic, which placed her on the euthanasia list due to limited resources for such medical needs. Fortunately, a volunteer experienced with diabetic animals stepped in, and Mira is now in foster care receiving the care she requires. Despite being almost totally blind, she navigates new environments with bravery, relying on her trust in her humans. Mira is friendly with other dogs and is learning to interact with cats, making her a fitting companion in a multi-pet household. This affectionate dog loves attention and enjoys being close to her people, often thinking she's a lap dog. If you're looking for a loving companion who has overcome adversity, consider welcoming Mira into your home. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
