About Zeke

Meet Zeke! Zeke is a handsome German Shepherd around a year old, seeking an active family that understands his breed and is committed to his continued training. He’s eager to learn and has made remarkable progress in his foster care. Zeke was once an excitable puppy in a rural shelter, lacking direction and manners. He's thrived in his foster home, where he learned invaluable dog skills. Now, he’s fully crate trained, potty trained, and knows commands like sit, down, wait, come, and more. He walks well on a leash but can pull when excited, so more practice would benefit him. While Zeke enjoys the company of dogs he knows, he needs slow introductions. He does not do well with cats due to a strong prey drive. Although he loves meeting new people and enjoys affection, his enthusiasm means he’s better suited for a home without small children. Zeke is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations, having completed slow-kill heartworm treatment. He’s truly blossoming and ready for a family who will give him structure, exercise, and love. If you appreciate the German Shepherd breed, Zeke is sure to steal your heart! Meet and greets are available. Click apply to start the adoption process.
