About Mera
Mera is a 5-year-old Rottweiler who found herself in a tough spot after being left at a California shelter. Confusion and fear surrounded her, but fortunately, Ash Tree Ranch Rescue stepped in just in time to save her from the euthanasia list. Now, she's in foster care, ready to find a loving home. Weighing in at about 105 pounds, Mera is a calm and gentle giant. Known affectionately as "Mera Turtle," she enjoys leisurely walks without pulling or reacting to barking dogs behind fences. Daily exercise keeps her healthy and helps her learn good habits. While she’s catching up on her manners, Mera is eager to master commands like "leave it" and "drop it." Mera thrives in her kennel, her safe space where she sleeps soundly, though her adorable snores might wake the household. Her love of treats makes training a delightful experience. While she has a playful spirit and adores being pampered with grooming, she is also learning boundaries—like socks being off-limits! This affectionate girl gets along well with her 10-year-old male Rottweiler foster brother but hasn’t had much interaction with other dogs or children yet. Although she can’t share her home with cats, Mera is poised for a family that will provide the stability and guidance she deserves. She's a diamond in the rough, promising endless loyalty and love in return for kindness.
